Recently having watched the special features on The Dark Knight Bluray Disc, I was inspired to book a ticket to see it again but this time at the BFI IMAX screen in London. According to the features, there were four separate scenes that were filmed with extremely high resolution IMAX cameras and I can’t wait to experience it on the 8-storey tall screen at the Southbank. There’s an interesting Wired article that talks about shooting the film in IMAX.
The only disappointing thing for me is the fact that I wasn’t able to book a ticket for the initial screening, apparently tickets had been booked months in advance with only the occasional ticket for a seat at the front at ridiculous times after midnight. Having said that I’m still excited about seeing it again though in all it’s peripheral-filling-spectacle IMAX experience. I can’t wait to see it!
