I’ll have the opportunity to spend my weekends in London for the new few weeks and at some point I’d like to check out the Pop Life exhibition at the Tate Modern. Also, it’d be fun to see the end result of Kirsten Dunst’s Tokyo adventure!

Peace One Day
Posted in BlogI don’t know how I managed to get through the week without hearing about Peace One Day until finding out about it through Joseph Tame’s Daily Mumble blog post.
Peace One Day is working to manifest an annual day of global unity; a day of intercultural cooperation on a scale that humanity has never known. The next stepping stone on this journey is to reach 3 billion people with the message of Peace Day by 2012.
Yakuza 4
Posted in GamingIt’s that time of the year again when the gaming community look towards Japan to enjoy the delights of Tokyo Game Show. Such as this trailer for Yakuza 4 by Sega. I’m a huge fan of the series and am currently in the midst of setting up my Hostess Bar in Yakuza 2.
I remember seeing trailers for the original game years ago, at first I thought it might be the mythical Shenmue 3 which never reached a conclusion due to overly ambitious development costs and poor sales but eventually I got my hands on it and really enjoyed the virtual sensation of playing through accurately portrayed depictions of the Kabukichō district of Shinjuku in Tokyo.
There was recent speculation that due to poor sales of Yakuza & Yakuza 2, the third title already released in Japan wouldn’t see a Western release much to the dismay of the western fans of the series.
However a Sega Employee advised fans not to worry too muchand shortly afterwards 1UP revealed that Yakuza 3 would indeed be localised. Anyway that’s enough ramble for now!

Fangamer Store
Posted in Design, GamingUnable to sleep last night, I navigated through my iPhone to discover if I had any unplayed podcasts to listen to. Fortunately I had, namely Retronauts, a show from 1UP wherein they discuss old video games and the culture surrounding it. The episode from last night involved in interview with the people behind a popular Earthbound website.
I never played Earthbound or Mother as it was natively known in Japan. I’ve always planned to pick it up at some point, since it has garnered so much reverence but more specifically through the talk I found myself visiting their online store and discovering some finely crated gaming apparel for the discerning video game fan.
In particular I really liked the Metal Gear Solid inspired Les Enfants Terribles swag. Anyway check it out, maybe find something cool to wear?
