I finally did the dirty and picked up myself an iPhone 8GB 3G on the Pay & Go tariff from a local O2 store. All in all, it was a fairly straight-forward process and I was even able to keep my previous number. Having said that I am now left with a significant hole in my wallet. However that hole was going to grow larger as I found myself needing was some kind of case or protective cover to maintain the phone in pristine shape.

A rudimentary search online took me to a clip from Tekzilla which recommended the ‘Invisible Shield’ which is military grade material used on helicopters to protect the rotors, I’m guessing that it’ll be just fine protecting my phone from the contents of my pockets. Although an American product I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was available at Carphone Warehouse which saved me the significant shipping charges that eBay sellers were charging.
Incase Slider. I still have my previous Incase case for my iPod Photo which is still perfectly usable. In any case I think it just may be the single most awesome gadget that I’ve ever owned. It’s like the future but right here and right now and in my hand!
