I’m not much of a Manga reader, I stress that because on the whole I find that the people that are, are often — freaks — not to put too fine a point on it! I will have to admit that I did enjoy reading Death Note which was recommended to me.

Akira is without doubt my favourite animé of all time and it’s coming out soon in high-definition. I think I’ve owned it in every format it’s ever been released in.

I really enjoyed The Reader which starred Kate Winslet. I found the film to be deeply sad and moving. Something about it fills me with a longing sense of regret. It’s difficult to put a finger on it. It left me feeling the same as I did at the end of reading 1984.

Apparently Slumdog Millionaire walked off with 8 Oscar awards yesterday. It’s been cited as one of the best feel good films of the decade.
