Abergavenny

Posted in Blog, Travel

I was invited back to Rach’s home — the historic market town of Abergavenny — this weekend in order to celebrate her 21st Birthday. The town is surrounded by Welsh mountains in all directions but due to the rain I’ve barely been able to see them let alone try and climb any. Instead Rach took me into town and the indoor market decorated by huge paper chickens hanging from the ceilings and down further to the castle and it’s museum to explore the exhibitions.

We had lunch in town and had coffee and cake at a café she recommended, Trading Post. In the evening we went out to her favourite Thai restaurant Boonta Too and met with a few of her friends to enjoy dinner together. All in all it’s been a very enjoyable weekend.
