To celebrate my narrow escape from academic failure, I ventured out with Cat and her entourage for a night of fun filled antics. I also had the pleasure of catching up with Tara who was out with her own entourage, which dissolved instantaneously at the mere sight of Cat’s own sterling crew.
After a very restless night of surreal dreams of successes and failures, I finally awoke to confirm that I had indeed passed my exam. What a relief, I’m never putting myself through that again!

With my own Bangladeshi roots, I found this report about the estimated 11,000 Bangladeshi people residing in Japan particularly fascinating. The earlier settlers moved to enjoy the bubble economy and more recently have found Japan to be more inviting and safer than the United States which had previous seen much migration from Bangladesh.
